Abstract

This article discusses the movement from archive to stage in dramatizing the life and work of modernist poet and visual artist Mina Loy.

Sasha Colby, Graduate Liberal Studies, Simon Fraser University

Sasha Colby is Director of Graduate Liberal Studies at Simon Fraser University. Her current book project, Staging Modernist Lives, is under university press review.  Convinced that performance is as useful for teaching as it is for literary research, Sasha is currently teaching a graduate seminar called "Writing and Performing Modernist Paris," where students are researching, writing, and performing their own plays about the lives and writing of Hemingway, Pound, Cunard, Joyce, Freytag von Loringhoven, Callaghan, Kahlo, Maar and Fitzgerald.
