Author Biography

Melissa June Poll, Simon Fraser University

An adjunct professor at Kansas State University and an incoming SSHRC postdoctoral fellow at Simon Fraser University, Melissa received her PhD in Drama and Theatre from the University of London, Royal Holloway. Her research on performance-making and interculturalism has been published in Body, Space & Technology JournalCanadian Theatre Review, Theatre Research in Canada, and Contemporary Theatre Review/Interventions. Currently, Melissa is expanding her research into a book for Palgrave Macmillan, Robert Lepage’s Scenographic Dramaturgy: The Aesthetic Signature at Work. The recipient of a BFA in Acting and an MA in Theatre History and Criticism from the University of British Columbia, Melissa has also worked as a professional actor, dramaturg and freelance theatre critic.
